The Project Details
When it comes to creating a logo there are several rules or "guidelines" that I like to apply to each individual logo. Whether I am designing for a class project, start-up company, or even my own personal branding, I want to ensure that my design is not only eye catching, but also appropriate. For me, an effective logo design is distinctive, practical, simple and it tells a compelling story.
My ideas of what a logo has to accomplish has changed and developed as I have become more experienced in the creative field. What used to be a process where I would expect immediate results has evolved into a more in-depth, feedback-driven, and conceptual process. Through research, exploration, failure, feedback, criticism, and so on, I have been able to fine-tune my ability to create brand identities.
